Farmer's Favorite

Serves 8

3-4 lb Chuck roast
1 yellow onion, chopped
3 medium carrots, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 lbs red potatoes, cubed

Put all ingredients in a large crock pot. Add water to cover, and season with salt and peppper.
If meat is still frozen when you start, cook for about 9 hours. If meat is thawed, cook about 6 hours.
