Stew Hen Noodle Soup
1 stewing hen
8 oz long grain rice
16 oz wide egg noodles
Soak the rice for 4 hours. At the same time, put the stewing hen in the crock pot with 6 cups of water and a teaspoon of salt and cook on high for four hours.
After the hen is cooked, pull it out of the stock, let it stand until it is cool enough to handle, and finely shred the meat off the bone.
Put the meat back into the crock pot along with 4 cups of water, noodles, and rice.
Cook for another 2 hours. Salt and pepper to taste.
